Durex created an internet frenzy with news it was immortalising everyone's favourite phalic emoji with an eggplant flavoured condom. While we all hoped the news of a savoury condom range was true, Durex has admitted it was just trolling the internet, disappointing eggplant lovers everywhere.

Guthrie names digital lead

The Australian is reporting this morning that new ABC managing director Michelle Guthrie has added the digital network to ABC staffer David Anderson’s strategy and planning portfolio in the wake of the departure of digital director Angela Clark. According to The Oz, Anderson is a well respected long-term ABC staffer, who is now responsible for some of the most important areas at the public broadcaster.

King Content director joins Carat in Mondelez role

Carat Melbourne has named Gary Power as its group business director for its Mondelez International account.

Power joins Carat from his previous role as commercial director at King Content, bringing with him over fifteen years’ experience in content marketing and media. Since relocating to Australia in 2009 from Ireland, Power has played senior leadership roles on major accounts including Victorian Government and GE Australia at Zenith and Omnicom Media Group respectively.

SCA and Frontier Touring have joined forces

SCA and Frontier Touring have teamed up to create a series of live music events around the RnB Fridays brand. RnB Fridays Live is an experiential event grown out of the Hit Network's RnB Fridays. After launching in 2015, RnB Fridays is now the Hit Network’s most listened to day on air right across its 50 stations nationwide and features some of the best RnB hits from the early 90s all the way through to today. RnB Fridays Live will take this franchise to the next level, touring Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne this November.
