Carat names sponsorship and integrations lead

Leontine De Sutter has been appointed head of Carat Connect Sydney, the agency'ssponsorship and integration division. De Sutter joins from Ensemble, where she was senior brand partnerships director. De Sutter, who has previosuly worked at ZenithOptimedia in London and MediaCom, will report to chief investment officer Ashley Earnshaw. Carat Conect works across a number of cients, including Woolworths, Stayz, Pinnacle and GM Holden.

Skincare company unveils agency roster

Skincare brand Dr LeWinn has secured a new roster of agencies and an ambassador to promote its products. Home & Away star Anna Bamford (pictured) will front the campaign with creative by Mr.Wolf, media buying from Havas, PR from Stark Matthews and social by Get Glossy.  

Criteo ramps up

Performance marketing technology company Criteo – which is still without a Sydney MD - is set to acquire HookLogic – which has brands on the books such as L’Oreal, Mondelez, Tesco, Target and Macy’s. HookLogic allows advertisers to reach in-market shoppers, drive traffic to products, and attribute resulting sales. The performance marketing exchange connects many of the big retail e-commerce sites with consumer brand manufacturers who vie for virtual shelf-space via sponsored product ads. Read more.

Quickflix finds buyer

Quickflix has found a new buyer with US-based Karma Media Holdings set to take full control of the business that entered voluntary administration in April. The arrangement will see Karma Media take control of the business and its assets for $1.3 million. The Australian is reporting Quickflix will hold on to the majority of Quickflix’s employees, with those let go set to get outstanding entitlements in full. Yesterday, it was announced Presto will be folded into the Foxtel Play streaming product.
