Movers & Shakers: MFA, CHEP, Pedestrian, Host/Havas, Bullfrog, Thirst, This is Flow

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Ant Moore promoted to MD at Host/Havas

Host/Havas has promoted Ant Moore from managing partner to the newly created role of managing sirector. He will continue to be hands on with clients including Reckitt, Tourism Fiji, and the Australian Federal Police, whilst expanding his responsibilities more broadly for the agency.

Ita Buttrose named Women in Media national patron

Ita Buttrose, the chair of the ABC, has accepted the role of national patron for Women in Media, providing her support to the not-for-profit organisation, developed by and for all women working in media throughout Australia.  

Omnicom’s John Lynch becomes chair of MFA's Outdoor Futures Council

The Media Federation of Australia (MFA) has appointed John Lynch, head of OOH and audio partnerships at Omnicom Media Group, as chair of the MFA Outdoor Futures Council (OFC).

Droga5's Paul Meates is CHEP's new executive creative director

Paul Meates, returning to Australia after a decade at Droga5 New York, has been appointed executive creative director at CHEP. Meates will lead the Sydney office’s creative talent and output.

Pedestrian hires Dane Robertson to head of partnerships Victoria

Pedestrian Group, the youth-focused publishing group, has hired Dane Robertson to lead the company's sales department in Melbourne. Robertson previously held the position of head of VIC, QLD, SA partnerships at The Brag Media.

Saatchi & Saatchi duo switch to Bullfrog

Independent agency Bullfrog announced a new partnership team, including Saatchi & Saatchi’s Simon Bagnasco and Alex Speakman, and recently appointed MD Matilda Hobba. 

Dentsu appoints Adele Gibb managing director​ South Australia

Denstu has promoted group investment director Adele Gibb to managing director South Australia. She replaces Vikki Friscic who finishes in April to join Seven Adelaide as managing director.​ 

Kiranpreet Kaur Dhillon departs Archibald Williams

Kiranpreet Kaur Dhillon is leaving her role as managing director of Archibald Williams. She's becoming a consultant at 42North, a company of independent strategic support for agencies and marketers.

This Is Flow announces leadership expansion

This is Flow, which just held its first agency conference in the Hunter Valley, NSW, has hired Jeff Ewing as director of commercial operations. Ewing was chief financial officer at Dentsu Media, and before that CFO with Spark Foundry, moving from Blue449/Match Media when the agencies merged.

Thirst Creative's two new senior appointments

Thirst Creative has appointed Karl Ervine as head of digital and Emily Dupuche as GM. The agency has in recent months delivered a body of work for organisations such as Eastern Health, FVREE - Free From Family Violence, and national law firm Barry Nilsson.
