Meat & Livestock Australia has restructured its marketing team to bring together consumer and trade marketing functions. As part of that restructure it has promoted Andrew Howie to the role of group marketing manager.

Howie, who until now had led the consumer marketing team, will now oversee all domestic marketing, including trade.

He told AdNews that the restructure of the team reflects that MLA is part of a global operation structured around one marketing team. It also signifies a greater focus on content creation and building assets that MLA can use in both a trade and consumer marketing context.

The MLA marketing team has been on a winning streak under Howie. MLA was recently named the Media Federation of Australia's marketing team of the year and was also named the inaugural advertiser of the year at the Effies.

“Our success comes from great collaboration internally, and now it’s under one leader, one vision. I'm just one part of that team, and we recognise that we can do more when we stand together.”
