Media agency Maxus has been appointed media agency of baby food producer Danone Nutricia. The win follows recent new business from San Pellegrino, Grains Research & Development Corporation (GRDC) and Ubisoft, adding about $10 million in billings.

The Danone Nutricia brief will cover its toddler ranges Aptamil and Karicare.

“It's nice to kick off the year with some good wins and interesting clietns as well. [Danone] has talked about a global pitch and re-alignment and as far as I'm aware Australia was the first market to go ahead,” Maxus Sydney managing director Katy Websdell told AdNews.

“A really good bit of business to work with and a nice fit in terms of the scope and size of their business. For us it is a sizable and important win."

In 2014, Danone's early life nutrition division grew revenue 6.1% to 4.4 billion euros, which was more that its water division (4.2 billion euros) and well below dairy products (77.7 billion euros).
