M&C Saatchi Group's chief strategy officer Emily Taylor will be departing the agency this week.

Taylor was appointed in late 2020 and rounded out the agency's leadership team with group managing director Russell Hopson and chief creative officer Cam Blackley who have both left the agency since.

Taylor has been a Gruen Transfer panelist since 2018 and has also held leadership roles at AKQA, VCCP, Moon, BMF, Leo Burnett and Colenso BBDO.

Justin Graham, group CEO at M&C Saatchi Australia, said the agency thanks Taylor for her passion, smarts and leadership.

"She has nurtured a team of seriously talented strategists as well as building our strategic capability across the entire business.
We look forward to supporting her in her next chapter," Graham said.

M&C Saatchi laid off some staff, understood to be below 10, in Australia in December.

Although M&C expects to report profit before tax for the year to December in line with market expectations, the company told the London Stock Exchange in a trading update.
