M&C Saatchi has laid off some staff in Australia.

The number of redundancies hasn't been confirmed but is understood to be below 10.

Some of those who lost there jobs have taken to LinkedIn.

"My time at M&C has come to an unexpected close - so I am looking for a new role," one posted.

M&C Saatchi has been restructuring globally with Marcus Peffers appointed UK Group CEO.

In Singapore, Asia CEO Richard Morewood is stepping down.

Justin Graham in Australia, who is also global head of advertising network, is taking the reins.

The global advertising group posted a 7% drop in net revenue to £120.4 million for the half year to June, reporting "a significant slowdown in technology client spend".

However, the company expects a recovery in the second half of the year.
