LinkedIn's 'most powerful' marketing and advertising profiles in Australia

LinkedIn has revealed its 2017 Power Profiles list for Australia's marketing and advertising sector, with M&C Saatchi’s Jaimes Leggett and Qantas' Stephanie Tully among the top nine.

GroupM's director of technical operations Timothy Whitfield, known for his 'Ad tech share of the day', also made the cut, alongside MediaCom, Lenovo, Myer, CommBank - and more.

The list is a essentially a compilation of the most viewed professionals on LinkedIn in 2016 across top categories, including CEOs and founders, government, HR, marketing and fashion.

“These Power Profiles have developed their brand on LinkedIn by sharing their diverse experiences and voicing their opinion on topics that matter," LinkedIn country manager AUNZ Matt Tindale says.

"They are adding value to the community with their insights, helping our members get better at what they do and achieve their professional goals."

The most viewed professionals in marketing and advertising for 2017 are:

• Jaimes Leggett, Group CEO at M&C Saatchi
• Andrew Knott, Chief Marketing Officer at National Australia Bank
• Nick Reynolds, CMO, Asia Pacific at Lenovo
• Stephanie Tully, EM Group Brand and Marketing/CMO at Qantas
• Vittoria Shortt, Group Executive, Marketing and Strategy at Commonwealth Bank
• Alex Kirk, Head Of Systems & Automation at MediaCom
• Michael Scott, Executive GM, Brand Strategy & Marketing at Myer
• Timothy Whitfield, Director, Technical Operations at GroupM
• Cavan Brady, Brand & Marketing Strategy, Brand & Marketing Communication at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company

Group M Australia and New Zealand CEO Mark Lollback, Publicis CEO Andrew Baxter and former R/GA boss Jon Holloway were cut from this year's list after making the top 10 in 2016 (see below).
