Ikon's programmatic director Sarah Melrose has exited the agency for a newly created role at Admatic Australia.

Melrose, who had been at the WPP Australia-owned agency for more than three years, is now head of programmatic, data and technology at digital media agency Admatic.

Admatic, which is headed up by national CEO and managing partner Matthew Crook - himself recruited from media agency side – counts clients such as iSelect, Rugby Australia and Racing Queensland.

Just this week Admatic won the digital media business for cosmetic giant Clarins.

Last year the independent agency made a "small round of redundancies" following the loss of automotive client Kia Australia. In October Kia consolidated its roster, giving Admatic's buying slice to Havas.

At the time Crook said the the loss would not lead to further significant impacts, and that it also coincided with four new business.
