HuffPost Australia has launched its new lifestyle platform LIFE.

The offering from the Verizon Media-owned publisher, which revamped local operations last year after significant cuts, will cover daily issues, such as wellbeing, work, food, travel, home life and families.

Paul Sigaloff, Verizon Media AUNZ managing director, says the platform comes after growth in users under senior editor Carly Williams.

“In the last six months under Carly’s stewardship HuffPost Australia has seen significant growth in users and engagement, and the launch of LIFE gives our users more of the content that’s relevant to their lives,” Sigaloff says.

“It also provides a whole new opportunity for brands to connect to these audiences when they are engaged, informed and entertained.”

The Australian launch is part of a global rollout with HuffPost’s 12 other editions, including the UK, US and Spain.

“Whether it be setting up your WFH space so your partner doesn’t walk by your video calls in his undies, to listing the best travel-based Netflix shows so you can take a trip from the couch, HuffPost’s service journalism has an emphasis on giving you answers to what you’re looking for,” says senior editor Carly Williams.

“If our readers are going through something in their lives, we’re covering it with stories on ‘how to navigate Centrelink’s JobKeeper application, or ‘how shall I tackle therapy in this virtual age’ and ‘when can I travel again?’”
