Full service agency GPY&R has been appointed by online wagering brand BetEasy, after a competitive pitch.

BetEasy, which also has mobile and tablet apps, is aiming to make a splash in the market, having just secured an exclusive sponsorship with the AFL.

GPY&R managing partner Julian Bell said BetEasy represents a “truly exciting proposition” for the company.

“They are a brand with serious ambitions both in terms of acquisition, category disruption and technology advancement. It’s a challenge that will utilise all of the agency’s disciplines and leverage our deep history of sporting experience.”

BetEasy’s head of marketing, Ed Owens, said in the pitch process GPY&R proved themselves as the “most creative and forward thinking agency”.

“This is a very exciting time for our business, and we are really looking forward to working with the team at GPY&R,” he said.
