Microsoft Advertising has appointed Nick Seckold as regional vice president of Asia Pacific Sales.

Seckold returned to Australia earlier in 2019, where he was the national managing director for the Denstu Aegis performance agency, iProspect.

Seckold exited the business earlier this year following the first wave of redundancies under new CEO Henry Tajer.

On his appointment, Seckold says that at a time of "unprecedented disruption" in the industry, no-one is better placed than Microsoft Advertising to provide consumer centric, data driven, transparent media and technology solutions.

"Having worked closely with Microsoft Advertising over many years across a number of markets around the world, I've always been impressed with their ability to innovate and drive meaningful outcomes for their partners," he says.

"I'm really excited about the opportunity to lead Microsoft Advertising Sales across APAC and to build on the momentum the team has created in this part of the world."

Prior to iProspect, Seckold's experience includes founding the Search practice at Mindshare UK, before moving to Singapore to serve as Mindshare’s head of digital and then CEO for APAC.

Following his tenure at Mindshare, Seckold led Atlas platform Sales and Marketplace Science functions at Facebook APAC.

“With over 21 years in media, Nick is a proven leader who brings a depth of digital media, search, and APAC regional expertise to this role, as well as combination of agency and publisher experience and well-honed people leadership skills," Microsoft Advertising Corporate Sales global VP Lynne Kjolso says.
