Facebook has boosted its local Creative Shop team with three new hires.

Joining the digital platform’s internal team of creative strategists are senior creatives Jay Morgan, Stef DiGianvincenzo and Ollie Beeston who have backgrounds across agencies and tech companies.

Morgan joins from The Monkeys where he was creative and innovations director, DiGianvincenzo joins following a stint as strategic director at Google, and Beeston joins from Clemenger BBDO Sydney where he was creative group head.

“I am delighted to welcome Stef, Jay and Ollie to Facebook,” says Steve Coll, head of Facebook Creative Shop AUNZ.

“They join a team of strong creative thinkers and bring a wealth of diverse talent, skill and experience to a team that is already collaborating with some of the most respected marketers and creators in the country. These new hires show the importance of creativity in the future of our platforms, where there is still so much untapped potential and opportunity for brands.”

Coll, who joined the social media giant after four years as chief creative officer and creative partner at With Collective, says the investment will help it collaborate with creative agencies across Australia and New Zealand.

“Australia and New Zealand agencies are, as we all know, world-renowned for creativity. Our goal is to work with the best brands, creators, makers, creatives and marketers to help take advantage of opportunities that exist now, and as our tech keeps developing.

“Challenging times galvanise the best creatives and marketers to find unexpected solutions and great new ideas. So, the prospect of adding these talented creatives to our team and exploring new possibilities with the best creative brains is truly exciting.”

The new hires bring Facebook’s Creative Shop team to seven senior creatives across Australia and New Zealand.

“Everything we are seeing across Facebook and Instagram shows that great creative and craft on our platform is a fundamental part of campaign success,” says Will Easton, Facebook AUNZ managing director.

“The importance of creativity is at an all-time high and we are excited to commit more high calibre resources to support ANZ marketers and creative agencies deliver high impact campaigns.”
