Clay Gill has been appointed CEO of Cadreon Australia, an adtech specialist unit within IPG Mediabrands.

He joins from The Trade Desk Australia & New Zealand where he was general manager.

Gill had only been with the business for six months before exiting, after taking the reins from former boss Mitch Waters, who earlier this year relocated to Singapore to take on a wider role within the business.

Patrick Darcy, the former head of Cadreon in Australia, was revealed to be joining the Dentsu Aegis Network this week as the holding group's new chief data and technology officer.

Gill says Cadreon is striving to make the increasingly digitised future a simple, open and inclusive one.

"It’s a productively challenging environment that I really look forward to joining," he says.

"I’m excited about the work Cadreon is doing to make brand engagements more meaningful and with the potential to reach a new level of excellence in communications delivery for clients.”

Leigh Terry, CEO IPG Mediabrands APAC, says Gill brings a wealth of specialised growth experience across the agency and technology landscape.

“His passion for utilising emerging technology to drive intelligent, effective media execution and his ability to operate as a strong and collaborative leader are exactly the combination of skills we were seeking for this key leadership position in Australia," Terry says.

Gill will report to Yean Cheong, head of Cadreon APAC.

“Looking to 2020 we see Cadreon’s skill sets evolving at speed and have great confidence that Clay has the executive skills and vision to drive the business to higher levels of effectiveness and performance,” Cheong says.
