Former AIMIA CEO David Holmes has been named as the new chief development officer at digital agency Hostworks.

Holmes' departure from digital industry association AIMIA was announced on Monday – just 10 months after he was appointed to the role.

Holmes will be responsible for all customer facing units within Hostworks across product, account management and business development working with both Sydney and Adelaide teams.

Will Berryman, Hostworks CEO, said: “David has an exceptional track record and experience in the digital media industry in Australia and a proven history of empowering positive change in all the organisations that he has held tenure prior to coming to Hostworks. His motivation and skills employing sophisticated digital strategy will be a valued contribution to Hostworks as it moves forward on its digital journey.”

Holmes added: “Hostworks is a mainstay of the Australian digital industry. The trajectory and vision of the business is something unique and I am super excited to be given this opportunity.”

Holmes has resigned from his position on the AIMIA board, but will continue to work with the association on a voluntary basis.
