Dancing with the Stars drops on debut; The Voice hits right note

Seven's celebrity dance show, Dancing with the Stars has dropped on debut from last year's opening with 788,000 metro viewers last night, compared to 1.04m on its 2014 launch.

The show was the sixth highest watched show of the night, according to OzTAM overnight metro figures, with Nine's hit show, The Voice, claiming the number one spot, with 1.54 million viewers.

Network Ten's Masterchef saw 1.04 million viewers, to be the fourth most watched show of the evening, while Nine's 60 minutes took the fifth spot with 825,000 viewers.

In news, Nine pulled in the highest audience with 1.40 million viewers, making it the second-most watched program of the evening, followed by Seven news on 1.30 million.

Overall, Nine won the night with 38.0% share across its channels over Seven with 22.8%.

Ten saw 18.0% followed by ABC on 14.9% and SBS on 6.3%.
