Former Commonwealth Bank GM of brand, sponsorship and marketing services Stuart Tucker has left the bank to join Hipages as chief customer officer.

Tucker was second in command to Vittoria Shortt who leads marketing and worked alongside Monique Macleod who is acting CMO.

Tucker is taking on a newly created role that will oversee sales, service and marketing.

It’s understood that Tucker will focus on developing its services and increasing brand awareness.

Hipages' service, which connects tradespeople with potential jobs, is available on desktop and mobile and tablet apps. It currently lists 100,000 qualified tradespeople on its database and a job is posted every 29 seconds.

Hipages has 300 staff across Sydney and Manila and has increased its staff numbers by 36% over the past year.

Tucker has been at CBA since November 2013 when he joined from Aussie home loans.
