Carat Sydney has been appointed as the media agency for Greenstone Financial Services following a competitive pitch.

It won the business from Omnicom-owned PHD – which just last year scooped the Unilever account, said to be worth $57 million.

AdNews understands Ikon and Nunn Media may also have been frontline runners-up in the pitch, which kicked off before Christmas.

Greenstone specialises in personal insurance products in the term life, funeral, income protection and pet insurance markets. Its proprietary brands include Real Insurance, Australian Seniors Insurance Agency, Guardian Insurance and Prime Pet Insurance as well as popular online comparison service, Choosi.

Lead acquisition and advertising manager at Greenstone, Aimee Brunello, says: “Throughout the pitch process, Carat demonstrated a thorough understanding of our business challenges and how they could support us in delivering growth for the future.

“The combination of their direct response capabilities and investment expertise made them the right choice in partner for Greenstone.”

Speaking to AdNews, Carat CEO Simon Ryan said the agency's approach is clear - to redefine media, ensuring improved business outcomes, and to bring media convergence closer to the point of transaction.
