Big brands collide in Aussie pizza first

When two great foods come together it's a glorious thing– think peanut butter and jam, cheese and vegemite. We've seen the Krispy Kreme used as a burger bun, we've seen pizza with a hot-dog in its crust but now Pizza Hut is making every gourmand's dreams come true by introducing a new Dorito's Crunchy Crust. And it's well overdue.

After Domino's hugely successful Pizza Mogul campaign, Pizza Hut is winning back pizza lovers with this calorific cheese overload.

Pizza Hut prides itself as the home of Stuffed Crust pizza– recall the crust made out of cheese burgers– and has spent months developing the Dorito's crust. Prepare to drool: the crust is filled with mozzarella cheese, layered with original Doritos crunchy corn chips and sprinkled with tasty cheddar cheese around the edge of your pizza.

Pizza Hut Australia Head of Marketing and Innovation Fatima Syed said: “We’re so excited to launch the Doritos Crunchy Crust Pizza – it’s the kind of pizza that needs to not only be eaten, but heard to be believed. As you bite into the crust you’ll be blown away by the crunch – it’s not only seriously loud, but delicious.”

In celebration of the launch, Pizza Hut is rewarding customers who creatively share their experience online tasting the new Doritos crust using the hashtag #pizzahutcrunch, with free pizza to be won.

This cholesterol-raising, delicious delicacy is available for a limited time so you had better run*.

*You will probably have to do more running as exercise after consuming the pizza.
