The staff of a Launceston pizza shop have altered the meaning of an anti-same-sex-marriage billboard next to their business.

Employees at Wiseguise Pizza painted next to the outdoor ad adjacent to the "It's OK to say no" sign, adding the words "to pineapple on pizza".

Wiseguise Pizza told the ABC the shop did not want to take a political stance but thought the original sign could have a negative impact on its business.

The outdoor ad space belongs to Claude Outdoor, who has been approached for comment.

The readjustment of the sign's sentiment comes a day after the owner of The Winston bar in Hobart posted on Facebook a clarification for patrons that her establishment was supportive of same-sex marriage.

An electronic billboard on the roof of the building housing The Winston features an "It's OK to say no" message.

The business took to Facebook to declare its support of same-sex marriage adding its in no way affiliated with the sign.

There has been an ongoing battle between the Yes and No campaigns that has seen the debate taken to the skies – first with "Vote No” written in the sky over Sydney last week, and now with a GoFundMe campaign raising money to fly a giant rainbow flag through the clouds.

Several ads are running across free TV for both sides of the campaign, including one emotive ad from Australian Marriage Equality that has been airing during Ten's The Bachelorette and The Bachelor.
