Former MCN CEO Anthony Fitzgerald has joined the board of health and wellbeing network Tonic Health Media.

Fitzgerald was previously Multi Channel Network’s chief executive for 15 years after joining from the Seven Network in 2003, after more than 18 years as Seven’s director of sales.

Fitzgerald exited the Foxtel sales house prior to the news that Network Ten and MCN would be ending its sales representation deal.

Tonic Health stated that the appointment of Fitzgerald will help the business continue its expansion in the market.

“Fitzgerald's accomplishments during his stellar 30+ years in the media industry speak for themselves including growing the MCN business to a $1.2 billion operation during his reign as CEO," Tonic Chairman Paul Robertson, AO says

“Fitzgerald is a leader, innovator and media pioneer, so he’s the perfect person to join our Board."

Fitzgerald had been a driving force behind the growth of MCN, securing the initial deal with Network Ten, as well as launching several of the sales house's innovation in market.

Tonic Health Media has 7,500 media assets positioned in over 5,300 GP, pharmacy and hospital waiting areas across Australia.

“Tonic is an exciting company with a unique offering and has experienced significant growth in recent years," Fitzgerald says.

“I was also attracted to Tonic’s genuine commitment to making a big difference to the lives of all Australians."
