By AdNews | 20 June 2017

Google & News Corp are locked in a battle over the impact the digital media giant has had on journalism. Google MD Jason Pellegrino and News Corp chief digital officer Nicole Sheffield were head-to-head over the issue at the AdNews Media + Marketing Summit earlier this month.

It's an ongoing and complex debate around Google’s role in the media landscape.

Watch an edited version of the session from the AdNews Media + Marketing Summit below. News Corp and Google tackle brand safety, proving the value of digital, transparency and the issue of whether Google is a tech company or a media company.

We’ve got an equally strong line up planned for our Melbourne Media + Marketing Summit on 2 August including Holden marketing boss Mark Harland, Adam Ferrier, Consumer psychologist and brand strategist, ANZ Banking Group Head of Marketing Effectiveness Rob Brittain,  Carlton United Breweries Consumer Connections Director Chris Maxwell and Mondelez Director Marketing for Chocolate Kjetil Undhjem.
