CANBERRA: The federal government-owned Museum of Australian Democracy is to set up a roster of digital agencies to compete for briefs.
The museum is to issue a tender through AusTender in the coming weeks, and will ask agencies to submit pitches on a credential basis.
"The agencies that fit the criteria, which might include factors such as experience, the right staff and examples of relevant digital work, will be put on the panel," The Museum of Australian Democracy marketing and communications manager, Nicolle Keyes, said.
"There is no limit to the size of the panel. The idea is that, once we have a panel of digital agencies, we can go to the them on a project-by-project basis and get quotes from each agency."
Keyes said agencies would not be placed on the general government roster, the "Communications Multi-Use List".
The news comes after it was reported yesterday that DraftFCB has been appointed to a one-off digital project for the museum. "We are just testing the waters," Keyes said.
A spokesperson for DraftFCB confirmed that the agency will also pitch to be placed on the panel.
