This commercial plays on the idea that there's a Volkswagen model for everyone in your extended family. Which one can you picture yourself with?

There's a Volkswagen model for everyone in your extended family, or so says the Volkswagen ad that rolled out on Sunday 27 October.

The ad is set to a song written to illustrate the premise, all taking place at at the family matriarch's birthday on a property with, conveniently, loads of parking.

The campaign launch is designed to coincide with the brand's 60th anniversary in Australia. It will run across TV and digital platforms.

"With nearly twenty models in the range, we believe there really is a Volkswagen for everyone," said Volkswagen general manager marketing Jutta Friese. "Our aim has always been to make Volkswagen engineering both relevant and loved by everyday Australians. We've had great fun bringing the Volkswagen family to life as we celebrate 60 years in Australia."

DDB Sydney executive creative director Dylan Harrison said: "The best Volkswagen work has always been a product experience elevated to a human experience. To communicate the vibrant diversity of all models in the Volkswagen family, creating an equally real family was irrestible."
