'Try July' dares all booze lovers to give their livers a month-long break this July to raise funds for those with cancer.

Be “gloriously hangover-free for 31 days” are the words from the Dry July team, who encourage those that enjoy a tipple or two to hold back in July and get sponsored while they're at it.

The Dry July team will also be promoting the alcohol-free month by attempting world records, aiming to prove you can do awesome things with a clear head. They'll be kicking that off with an attempt to break the world record for the largest smoothie on 30 June in Sydney.

'Try July' was created in partnership with Clemenger BBDO, PHD Media and We Are Social and can be followed using the hashtag #DryJulyGoal.

“Giving up booze is a real opportunity to focus on being healthy and achieving something for yourself, while at the same time raising funds for an important cause,” says Dry July co-founder and executive director, Brett Macdonald.

“We hope that with the Try July campaign people will be inspired to new heights, will challenge themselves and help us raise over $4.5m this campaign, while having a bit of fun at the same time.”
