Heritage Australian paint brand Taubmans is reasserting the brand as the ally of everyday Australian painters in a campaign via Sunday Gravy.
“Painting isn’t easy. What’s the right prep, the right product. There’s pressure, so people put it off,” said Sunday Gravy co-founder and cco, Ant White.
“Making Painters, owns that human truth and positions Taubmans as the ally that makes starting feel possible. Instead of pretending painting is effortless, we sit honestly inside the chaos, humour and warmth of real Australian homes.”
The campaign is directed by Good Oil’s Novemba.
“When you start a spot with the word ‘Booger’, you know it’s going to hold attention,” said Sunday Gravy senior creative, Lenna Boland.
“Especially for parents whose walls have been absolutely ravaged by them. That human insight was our starting point. Taubmans has seen it all, every wall, every wipe. Making Painters recognises that initial doubt, then shows the shift that happens when you’ve got the belief to give it a go.”
Sunday Gravy senior creative Alex Crampton said as soon as they open the tin, we wanted audiences to feel an energy shift.
“The tricky corners. The beads of sweat. The effort. And the payoff and ultimate satisfaction that comes from getting it done.”
The campaign launches nationally across TV, OOH, Online Video, Social, Radio, PR and in-store.
