Empowers Australians to make safer choices around water.

Brisbane advertising agency Engine has partnered with water-infrastructure company Sunwater to launch awater safety campaign, Live Dangerlessly.

Launching this week the campaign will address trespassing and exclusion zone breaches at dams and Weirs, leading concerns in Queensland, through a light-hearted approach to self-empowerment and safety.

The creative shows an everyday Queenslander making the call to “yeah nah” to avoid dangerous situations, all while embracing wrap-around sunnies, slow-mo, quick wit, explosions and a loud shirt.

“This is work designed to get noticed, talked about and ultimately effect behaviour change. It was an absolute joy working with a client group that trusted in us and our process from the pitch all the way through to final execution,” said Engine managing Director Tim Weger.

The campaign avoids normalising risk and encourages Australians to make safer choices that are aspirational and memorable.

Live Dangerlessly represents safety as a power move, with following warning signs framed as the coolest decision you can make by the water.

"We wanted to break the mold of safety campaigns. ‘Live Dangerlessly’ doesn’t lecture or blend in - it grabs attention, sparks a smile and makes the message stick,” said  Engine creative director Mike Fritz

The campaign includes BVOD, radio, outdoor and social, and will run across high-risk periods including spring, New Year and Easter.
