Target partners with Gwen Stefani for the first music video created for live television.

Target US has teamed up with Gwen Stefani for the release of her next album with a four-minute commercial that made its debut during the Grammy Awards.

Over the years Target has partnered with many celebs, including Justin Timberlake, Shakira and Imagine Dragons. In Australia we've seen Jessica Mauboy and Dannii Minogue come on board for the retailer.

The live video for Make Me Like You, created by ad agency Deutsch and directed by veteran music video maker Sophie Muller, has minimal branding and maximum costume changes. There is a lot of red and white and they managed to sneak a few bullseye shapes in to the background.

The high-energy clip has a 1970’s feel with a roller-skating sequence and shiny disco balls.

Target organised unique second views of the experience through Periscope, Facebook Live and Snapchat during the broadcast, and also got social influencers Todrick Hall and Meg DeAngelis involved.
