With the concept of ‘home’ being redefined in 2020, the latest Fantastic Furniture campaign celebrates the role furniture plays in making people feel more comfortable at home.

Developed by creative communications agency Connecting Plots, the ads play off how COVID-19 restrictions have reshaped how people live and what makes them happy.

“As we spend more time at home than ever before, this campaign celebrates the joy to be found in the chaos of our domestic lives," says Fantastic Furniture head of marketing Will Dance.

"Fantastic Furniture pieces are the perfect stage for every Australian family, from the everyday mundane moments to the most memorable. Our range is stylish, practical and most importantly affordable, meaning it’s attainable for everyone to make their space authentically theirs.”

The Fantastic Furniture campaign will roll out across TV, digital, social, and OOH via a series of 23 vignette-style ads that spotlight a different fun and relatable slice of life as people become their most authentic selves at home.

The executions range from kids enjoying too much tomato sauce at teatime, families falling asleep on the couch during the footy, to tradies enjoying a 2015 Barossa shiraz after knock-off.

“This latest campaign is a fun response to Australians adjusting to the ‘new-normal’," says Connecting Plots managing director Tom Phillips.

"Creating 23 separate ads that appeal to a range of households in an uplifting way clearly demonstrates what a consumer-centric business Fantastic Furniture is.”

Fantastic Furniture general manager of marketing Jacqui Hawkins says the company has experienced incredible growth during 2020.
