Debt Cutter introduces us to Johnny Debt

He's not quite as dashing as another character with a similar namesake but he's here to show you how to get back on your feet.

The character is the start of Debt Cutter's lastest campaign, by Sydney agency Bloke. The campaign is based off the statistic that Australian credit card borrowing reached 27bn in December alone, and that many peple will find themselves still paying that debt off next christmas.

Bloke creative partner Mike O'Rourke said the campaign delivers a message that there is a simplier way to cut back on moutning debt repayments.

"“It can happen to anyone”, O’Rourke said. “A few things go wrong and suddenly you’re paying one credit card off with another. Johnny’s character allows us to show empathy, and a real understanding of what they’re going through.”

The fully integrated lead generation campaign sees Johnny Debt on DRTV, in cinemas, on bus backs, in print, on web banners and soon to be highlighted on a new Debt Cutter website.
