BIG4 launches regional tourism campaign via Bellwether

Holiday parks brand BIG4 has launched a new campaign in response to the lifting of border restrictions between NSW and Victoria

BIG4 head of marketing Goran Majstorovic says the Discover More & Go BIG campaign promotes the best of the iconic regions.

“We know how tough the lockdowns have been, so now that people can travel again, we wanted to move quickly and promote the brilliant regions across NSW and Victoria they can now visit, explore and enjoy with BIG4.”

The campaign rolls out across outdoor, radio, digital, and social channels throughout November. The video features the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.

Bellwether Agency has created a series of work for BIG4 since being appointed in mid-2020. The agency’s strategy director David Llewellyn says the work highlights local regions and is based on research from the ‘Wanderlust or Wanderbust? Travel Marketing the in new Australia’ Insights deck prepared by Nature and The Lab in March 2021.

“Our research tells us that over 80% of Australians are more interested than ever on discovering their local regions,” says Llewellyn.

“Since mid-2020 we have marketed state-by-state, region-by-region and responded quickly to the changing restrictions impacting guests.”

Bellwether creative director Andrew Crook says the campaign uncovers hidden gems: “In Australia we are blessed with incredibly diverse regions, and in this campaign, we’ve uncovered some of the hidden gems in each destination.”
