PayPal launches global creative with Havas in the harness

PayPal is kicking off a global push with Havas Worldwide behind the creative.

The move confirms that the eBay subsidiary has appointed Havas globally.

Last month it emerged that the payment provider had opted to take the full service route, appointing Havas for both creative and media duties in Australia.

It is not yet clear whether Havas will provide both media and creative in all regions.

The launch of its first-ever global brand campaign. Pushes the line that in a global, connected world, people need an easy, secure and intuitive way to pay for things. That's PayPal.

“Powering The People Economy,” spans television, print, digital, out of home, experiential, in-store and social channels. Television spots will first appear in Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States.

The company also has a new logo designed by fuseproject.

PayPal is a subsidiary of eBay, which is also in the process of appointing an agency locally, although that process appears to have slowed. Gumtree is also part of the same stable, with DDB winning its creative account last month.
