Nando's cooks with Banjo

EXCLUSIVE: Fast food chain Nando's has appointed Sydney agency Banjo as its creative partner, after the brand's relationship with The Sphere Agency ended last year.

Banjo managing partner Andrew Varasdi confirmed the appointment to AdNews.

The appointment was spearheaded by Nando's marketing director Kim Russell. Russell could not be reached for comment at the time of writing.

The brand's relationship with The Sphere Agency came to an end in June 2011 after an eight year partnership. It was reported that the split was a “mutual decision”.

At the time, the Melbourne-based retailer said it would look for a Sydney agency, because its marketing department operates out of Sydney.
