EXCLUSIVE: Mike Tyquin has stepped down as Australian and New Zealand chief executive of prominent out-of-home operator Eyecorp.

A replacement has not yet been found for Tyquin, who has been in the role since 2007.

In the interim period, his role will be overseen by Eyecorp group chief executive Gerry Thorley.

Thorley told AdNews, “Mike has been a terrific long term senior executive for the company. It's never easy when someone leaves.”

Thorley said the decision for Tyquin to leave was mutual. Tyquin has not yet revealed any future plans.

Last year, Tyquin oversaw a major restructure of the local operation of the company, which saw its disparate sales departments combine. The company has also aligned itself more closely with Network Ten, with the aim of generating cross-platform sales.

There is likely to be a search for a replacement, however the search has not yet started.
