EXCLUSIVE: Out-of-home provider Eye is undergoing a root-and-branch restructure of its sales and marketing departments, as Lachlan Murdoch continues to drive changes at Ten Network Holdings.

The changes at Eye, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ten Network Holdings, will see the previously disparate sales teams for Eye Drive, Eye Shop, Eye Fly and Eye Study brought into a single sales unit.

The reworking of the sales department has led to the departure of Eye’s general manager of sales Hamish Michie. The company is currently searching externally for a new sales head.

Eye chief executive across Australia and New Zealand, Mike Tyquin, told AdNews: “This restructure goes along two streams. Firstly, we wanted to enhance our position internally, so that we have a less fragmented sales proposition which streamlines the process for clients.

“Secondly, we are working in line with Lachlan Murdoch’s changes at Ten Network Holdings [which have seen a streamlining of Network Ten’s sales department], so that we can more easily work with clients in conjunction with Ten, as well as with our strategic partner DMG. The aim is to be part of something holistic and valuable.”
