A one-off of Nine's Domestic Blitz, which featured The Block: Sky High contestants, attracted 1.35 million metro viewers last night. But it couldn't beat Seven's X Factor with more than 1.5 million viewers. Meanwhile, Underbelly: Squizzy dropped to 859,000.

Domestic Blitz, which returned to screens last night with a one-off episode featuring The Block: Sky High contestants, attracted 1.35 million metro viewers, according to preliminary overnight ratings from Oztam. It aired at 6:35pm after Nine News, which had 1.41 million viewers, and was where the Labor party chose to air its inaugural 60-second election campaign broadcast.  60 Minutes (8pm) also performed well with an audience if 1.49 million.

But the second week of local drama Underbelly: Squizzy (9pm) didn't fare so well, dropping to 850,000 metro viewers. The show, which aired at 9pm, had an audience of 1.14 million last Sunday night. The third test of the Ashes on Gem had 571,000 viewers.

Seven's The X Factor (6:30pm) once again claimed top spot with 1.55 million viewers. It debuted last Monday night (29 July) with 1.63 million viewers. Seven News (6pm) had 1.34 million metro viewers while Ahn Does Britain 2 (7:40pm) attracted 954,000.

Meanwhile, Ten's MasterChef (7:30pm) jumped to 705,000 viewers with the launch of its Heston Blumenthal Week. UK drama Ripper Street (8:30pm) shrunk to 515,000 viewers from its launch of 570,000 last Sunday.

Overall, Nine won the night with 23.8% of audience share, closely followed by Seven with 22.1%. Ten had 10.2% while SBS had 3%.
