AANA chairman Joe Talcott steps down

AANA chairman Joe Talcott is stepping down from his role and will be replaced by Inese Kingsmill in an acting capacity.

Kingsmill is currently AANA deputy chair, and Telstra corporate marketing director. She will take on the role of chair in an acting capacity on 1 February.

AANA chief executive Scott McClellan said: “Joe has served more than three years as chairman. During this time, AANA membership has grown by over 15% and the association has tackled several challenging industry and regulatory issues.

“Under his chairmanship, AANA has forged healthy working relationships throughout the advertising, marketing and media industry.”

UPDATE: Since publication of this article, it has been revealed that Talcott is also stepping down from his his as chief creative of News Lab at News Limited.
