Movers & Shakers: Enero Group, Innocean, Emotive, JCDecaux, ABEL

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Enero Group appoints M&C Saatchi's Nikki Harrison

Enero Group, parent company of creative agency BMF, has appointed Nikki Harrison as global head of people and culture. Harrison brings a wealth of experience having held senior positions at brands such as KPMG Australia, Vodafone, Qantas and running her own consultancy. Most recently she was chief people officer at M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ. Harrison joins on February 5 reporting to global group CEO, Brent Scrimshaw.

JCDecaux major changes to commercial leadership

Outdoor media company JCDecaux Australia has appointed Bronwyn Clementson to the newly created role of executive general manager – commercial. And chief operating officer Andrew Hines will be stepping down after 30 years at JCDecaux and APNO. Clementson will join the company’s nine-member executive leadership team effective immediately. 

Emotive hires Poem co-founder Matt Holmes

Matt Holmes, former co-founder and ECD of Poem, has joined Emotive in the new position of head of PR and earned creative. The role will be integrated into Emotive’s fame offering. Holmes is based out of Emotive’s Coogee HQ and the appointment is effective March 4. 

Avid Collective expands team

Avid Collective has expanded Leah Stalker's remit as head of direct advertising partnerships and promoted Rob Ewing to head of agency partnerships. Stalker will oversee all direct client partnerships, while also delivering on industry-specific client solutions.Ewing will be responsible for overseeing the commercial team driving agency partnerships. Ewing has previously worked as Avid’s senior agency partnerships manager and group partnerships lead.

Kathryn Furnari appointed head of media at Innocean Australia

Innocean Australia has appointment senior media executive Kathryn Furnari head of media. Furnari will be responsible for media advisory services within Innocean Australia and the wider Innocean Wellcom Group offering in Sydney. Furnari was the group business director for PHD Media, managing a 25-strong team, along with clients including PepsiCo, Unilever, Nine Entertainment and Domain.

M&C's Rachael Fraser moves to indie ABEL

Rachael Fraser, former M&C Saatchi head of strategy, has moved to trans-Tasman creative independent agency ABEL as
strategic partner. She has led the strategic offering for a raft of  global brands including Unilever, Diageo, Volkswagen, Samsung and Tourism Australia. She has held senior positions across 72andSunny Amsterdam, Droga5 and DDB.

GroupM's Brett Camilleri becomes chief data officer at Kaimera

Independent media agency Kaimera is expanding its data and analytics team appointing Brett Camilleri chief data officer. Camilleri, with 18 years experience, joins from GroupM where he led the analytics team.

impact.com's Peter Bray made redundant

Peter Bray, regional vice president of sales ANZ at impact.com, announced on LinkedIn his role had been made redundant as part of a "cost reduction exercise". Bray said he has nothing lined up next but is open to opportunities. He has worked for the partnership automation company since 2018, initially starting as a account director. Bray thanked Adam Furness, MD at impact.com, for granting him the opportunity to grow.

John Marshall and Ryan O’Connell launch indie agency jnr

Former Special New Zealand GM John Marshall and Ogilvy Australia CSO Ryan O’Connell have launched full-service creative agency jnr across both New Zealand and Australia. Inspired by the energy, fresh thinking and curiosity of juniors, the new agency was born out of the reality that the industry has become overwhelmed and paralysed by the avalanche of academic theories, marketing sciences, and new technologies.

MBCS promotes Toby Maclachlan and Trent Peppercorn

Integrated creative agency MBCS has promoted Toby Maclachlan to head of strategy and product and Trent Peppercorn to the newly created role of head of Melbourne. Maclachlan steps into his new role after three years as head of creative strategy at Initiative Media. Previously head of creative services at MBCS, Peppercorn will relocate to Melbourne charged with leading the office through its next growth phase and expanding the team in line with client demand.

Allan Breiland joins On Device Research

Global brand measurement company On Device Research has appointed Allan Breiland to the newly created role of research director ANZ. He will be tasked with expanding and tailoring On Device Research’s brand measurement solutions across the region. Breiland has more than 20 years of research experience across a wealth of measurement agencies, including Millward Brown and most recently as senior director of Media at Kantar Media.

Nexxen appoints Gretchen Johnson as chief people officer

Unified advertising technology platform Nexxen has appointed Gretchen Johnson as chief people officer. In the role, Johnson will lead Nexxen’s Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams, focusing on culture and employee development to ensure the company continues to hire and retain best-in-class talent.

New GM at Porter Novelli 

Clemenger consultancy Porter Novelli Australia promoted client partner Victoria Fruean to general manager – Sydney lead. This coincides with promotions: Sydney's Lauren Clancy to client partner – technology & cyber;  Madison West to client partner – Melbourne lead; Cal Easton in a national role, strategy and digital lead.
