Maxus has promoted Ricky Chanana to national head of investment and shored up its leadership team.

Alex Concannon joins from Starcom as the agency's national marketing analytics director while Shivani Maharaj, the head of innovations and partnerships, joins the executive team.

Maxus says Chanana is among a handful of agency investment heads from a digital background. He has led digital at the agency since 2012.

Maharaj, who joined Maxus last year, spearheaded Aldi's The Block integration and the Jeep Grand Land Giveaway for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Concannon spent the past two years at Starcom, recently as senior analytics and insights manager.

“As media continues to converge, the distinctions between traditional and digital, paid and non-paid are blurring,” Maxus Sydney managing director Katy Websdell says.

“Therefore, it is increasingly important to holistically manage our planning and investment decisions, as well as processes, across all channels. This shift in our leadership team sees us capitalise on the strengths of our emerging talent.”
