Network Ten’s Australian Idol finale pulled in just 1.41 million viewers on 25 November, considerably down from last year’s performance. The finale peaked at 1.78 million, while the 2006 finale pulled in 2.2 million and peaked at 2.4 million. Earlier in the night, Australian Idol – The Final Verdict and Australian Idol – Live from the Opera House achieved average audiences of 1.42 million and 1.3 million respectively, compared with 2.11 million and 1.7 million last year.
