ACP buys NetGuide

SYDNEY: Publishing & Broad-casting LimitedÕs (PBL) magazine division Australian Consolidated Press (ACP) has acquired leading Internet magazines Australian NetGuide and New Zealand NetGuide for an undisclosed amount. PBL Media chief executive officer John Alexander said: ÒThe acquisition of NetGuide further consolidates ACPÕs number one position in the technology and technology services sector.Ó With ACP publishing Aust-ralian Personal Computer and PBL a joint venture owner of Internet portal Ninemsn, Alexander said: ÒWe see substantial opportunities to promote and drive the copy sales growth of NetGuide.Ó Phil Ryan, founder and managing director of NetGuide, will continue in his role and work with ACP over the next three years to drive further growth in the titles. NetGuide is published monthly with sales of 41,000 in Australia and 37,000 in New Zealand.
