SYDNEY: After a three-month selection process involving six Sydney agencies including The Campaign Palace, Mojo and Singleton Ogilvy & Mather, the National Rugby League (NRL) has chosen Saatchi & Saatchi as its agency for the 2001 Premiership season, to Òaccelerate the growth of Rugby LeagueÓ.John Brady, director of communications at NRL, said record average crowds during 2000 and a surge in fan loyalty position the NRL for a year of healthy growth. The NRLÕs media spend is worth about $3m, supported by an additional $1m in production and promotions.
