MELBOURNE: The Foundry forged an impressive haul of five awards, including Best Agency of the Year, at the 18th Annual Australian Catalogue Awards, held in Melbourne on Friday night (21 August).

Myer took home four awards, including Catalogue of the Year for a print run over 1.5 million for the second consecutive year.

Australian Catalogue Association chief executive Ken Bishop said he was pleased with the standard of the more than 700 entries submitted.

“The high standard of tonight’s winners is a perfect example of why our industry is increasingly billed as the most effective form of message delivery for retailers, in reaching their end-user consumers.”

Also replicating its win from 2008 was Kathmandu, taking out the Catalogue of the Year for a print run of up to 1.5 million catalogues as well as winning the 2009 Boutique Cataloguer category.

Bed retailing giant Snooze was recognised with wards for catalogues in the Major Retailers, Home Interiors and Letterbox Power categories.
