ASTRA celebrates winners

SYDNEY: The 5th annual ASTRA Awards were announced in a gala event at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion last night, with the Sci Fi Channel launch taking out the most outstanding consumer campaign for subscription sales.

FOX8, Nickelodeon and W dominated the evening, all winning four awards, as well as  Nickelodeon winning the Hall of Fame: Channel of the Year award.

The Most Outstanding Drama Program category came to a tie, with W Channel’s Love My Way and TV1’s Stupid Stupid Man both taking out the title.
