SYDNEY: The Sunday Telegraph has paired with Australian band The Whitlams for a new print and online promotion.
Buyers of The Sunday Telegraph this Sunday (1 June) will receive a copy of the album The Whitlams recorded in September 2007 at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, free with the paper.
Two additional Whitlam tracks can be downloaded from the sundaytelegraph.com.au website, and users can enter online to win one of 15 double passes to see the band in concert.
DDB Sydney has created a TVC to promote the offering, which launched this morning (27 May) on free-to-air TV.
The Sunday Telegraph's circulation dropped 2.2% from 685,000 copies to 670,000 in the past year, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulation figures. In the same period, the paper’s readership decreased 1.7%, dropping from 1,773,000 to 1,742,000 readers.
