The Furnace wins Otco
MELBOURNE: Otco Global has appointed The Furnace to launch three new consumer healthcare brands. Otco Global is an Australian-based healthcare distributor which is launching acne treatment Papulex, eczema treatment Atopiclair and hair loss treatment Revivogen. The Furnace Melbourne's first work for Otco will be the launch of Papulex in August.
SBS rebrand strikes chord
SYDNEY: SBS's new brand identity has proved to be successful just three weeks after its launch, research has found. A study has discovered that the new SBS tagline of "Six billion stories and counting" is already as well known among TV viewers as the broadvaster's previous tagline, and is better known than the ABC and Foxtel lines. The new SBS logo has achieved the highest overall scored of likeability, with 44% of people saying that it was their favourite or most liked, compared with Seven with 33%, ABC with 32%, Nine with 27% and Ten with 26%. The logo had its greatest appeal among women.
Sticky gets digital
NEWCASTLE: Ad agency Sticky Advertising says it has seen the light, relaunching itself as a digital-specific agency. The Newcastle-based shop is offering clients search engine optimisation and a new web design platform, according to Sticky managing director Craig Wilson. Wilson said while TV, radio and press are relevant to Sticky, they aren't the agency's default media. Wilson said clients deserve an agency that's able to take a long-term view to advertising campaigns, and that e-letters, outdoor, online video or PR is all on the radar for Sticky.
Palace takes a gamble
SYDNEY: The Campaign Palace has launched a radio-centred campaign for the NSW Government called Gambling Hangover, which aims to help young people who might be developing a gambling problem acknowledge and do something about it. The radio campaign will run across NSW in breakfast and morning sessions, focusing on Thursday through Saturday, which are the days of greatest "risk". The campaign also features a series of print and outdoor executions supported via SMS and a new internet site promoting responsible gambling messages and counselling measures.
