Zoom has appointed Dallas-based independent PMG as its global media agency of record, the first time the company has consolidated its media under a single agency worldwide.
A Zoom spokesperson confirmed to AdNews PMG will handle media placements in Australia and New Zealand as part of the global remit.
Havas and Horizon Media, pitching jointly, were also part of the review.
PMG, founded in 2010 by George Popstefanov, manages more than $7 billion in media billings annually.
“Zoom is redefining what modern work looks like by putting people first and making AI practical, accessible, and human-centered,” PMG founder and CEO, George Popstefanov, said.
“Their ambition to develop a truly unified workplace platform aligns perfectly with how we think about marketing at PMG, an interconnected system driven by intelligence, agility, and outcomes.
“We’re excited to partner with Zoom as they continue to innovate at ‘Zoom speed’ and set new standards for how people connect and collaborate.”
Whitney Magnuson, Zoom's head of brand strategy and activation, welcomed the appointment.
"We need a media partner that matches our pace, operates with the same platform mindset, and helps us translate innovation into measurable business impact globally,” Magnuson said.
“PMG's analytical rigour, flexibility, and people-first approach made them the clear choice."
Zoom's annual net media spend is estimated at $25 million, according to COMvergence.
