Zenith today announced two key promotions, appointing Thomas Macerola as Sydney head of investment, and Maya Richardson to the newly-created role of national commercial and operations director.

After more than four years as group investment director, Macerola moves to his new position effective immediately. He will now lead Zenith’s investment product for the Sydney market, charged with driving strategic solutions that deliver marketing-led growth for Zenith’s clients, and continuing to develop the agency’s investment strategy.

Macerola: “I am honoured to be given the chance to step up and lead the Sydney investment team. We have some very talented people who produce amazing work for clients, and I can’t wait to get stuck into the new role, working with our partners to continue driving growth for our clients’ businesses.”

Richardson also moves from the role of group investment director after almost five years. In her new remit, she will be focused on supercharging the delivery of better product and commercial outcomes for clients, by applying best practice across the business.

The role will include looking at ways to evolve and innovate the agency’s operational processes and practices, both internally and externally with Zenith’s strategic partners.

“Our ambition is to create real commercial advantage for clients by driving operational excellence and efficiency, working closely with our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane teams across an amazing portfolio of brands,” Richardson said.

Macerola and Richardson will report into Zenith’s national head of investment, Elizabeth Baker.

Baker: “I would like to congratulate Tom and Maya on their well-deserved promotions. Both have already contributed enormously to the success of our agency and our clients, and it’s wonderful to see loyal and committed talent continuing to grow with our business."
