Wunderman Thompson has announced the launch of its Experience Design Hub in Kings Square in Perth CBD.

The hub offers clients a complete solution for customer-focused transformation projects, with talent specialised in employee engagement design, customer service design, user experience and user interface design, creative and front-end development.

The Hub is in response to high client demand for experience design transformation projects that the agency has delivered in the past year.

Wunderman Thompson has recently led transformation projects for HBF, Synergy, Horizon Power and Water Corporation – delivered through both external consultancy methods and the Wunderman Thompson Inside model, a collaborative embedded team, co-located on-premises with clients.

“More and more organisations are looking for customer-focused experiences that transform the way people engage with brands, and organisations are doing a great job. We help realise their ambition by going beyond the data," Wunderman Thompson chief partnerships officer Melanie Wiese says.

"We need to understand humans in all their nuanced messiness and put their stories at the heart of the experience design to really serve customers. We call it 'data and drama', and it's something Wunderman Thompson has a long history in bringing together to help realise client’s ambition and find new unexpected ways to inspire customers.”

The Inside model is focused on giving clients access to a combination of the full technical, strategic, and creative depth of Wunderman Thompson talent, with the efficiency and convenience of an agency team, co-located onsite.

"Our heritage as both a strategic, creative solutions business, and as an insight-led technology business puts us in the box seat to transform organisational capability and service, not just technology," Wunderman Thompson national chief technology and innovation officer Martin Beecroft says.

"For that reason, we're about customer experience principles over fixed frameworks. Through WT Inside, we're able to offer something far more bespoke and, ultimately functional."

The launch follows Wunderman Thompson recent integration of the commerce business in Melbourne, led by chief commerce office Geoff Smeaton.
