WPP AUNZ has appointed Lisa Sheehan as chief people officer, replacing Elissa Good-Omozusi whose exit was announced in November last year.

Sheehan has been in the role on a contract basis since November. She will lead the people and culture function across WPP AUNZ’s corporate function and 60 plus brands, effective immediately.

Previously she founded and ran independent HR business Incite Consulting, following executive roles including chief people officer at carsales.com and iSentia.

In her new role Lisa will work closely alongside WPP AUNZ CEO Jens Monsees as a key part of the executive team leading the company’s ambitious ongoing transformation strategy.

Monsees says the appointment reflects a new and improved focus on people and culture.

“Like all successful organisations, WPP AUNZ is a business based on people and strong talent," says Monsees .

"Having worked alongside Lisa I am confident we have a fantastic leader capable of strengthening our impressive talent base, whilst being a fierce champion of diversity, culture and nurturing our high-performance culture."

Sheehan: “Having worked alongside Jens since late last year I have been constantly impressed by the leadership and depth of talent within our brand and corporate teams and am excited to become part of the team.

"It is our people that create an extraordinary culture and results for our clients, and I am especially looking forward to working with the HR community as we continue to build an employee experience that attracts and retains world class talent.”
